Prayer The number one thing to do, is pray. God listens and answers prayer, so this should always be a continual action for everything in life. Avoid the Bad Stuff There are a number of things which are known to cause cancer (carcinogens). There are also a number of things which studies show result in a higher incidence of cancer, but are not directly linked as causing cancer (the dietary intake of items show higher rates of cancer than other items). Things which either cause or somehow act as a catalyst to help the cancer along, should be avoided. Do the good stuff There are a number of foods which are shown to reduce, prevent, or even induce aptosis (cell death) to cancer cells. Supplemental Helps Certain supplements are shown to help with NHL, and cancer in general. There are also some things that are shown to help keep cancer away or kill cancer cells which I plan to do. Note on scams: There are lots of supplements and "scams" out there for alternative cancer cure's. Those with cancer are desparate, and are unfortunately the target of many supplements with fine sounding claims for curing cancer. Before falling for any scam, I search the internet and databases for credible evidence that anything works. Unfortunately nearly all the items claiming to fight cancer are just a scam to make money. A search of PubMed, google searches for the item and "fraud", quackwatch, and other sites are always worth doing before falling for the thousands of alternative therapies, supplements, and urban legend cures. Sure signs that something is a fraud: 1) The site is selling the product they are promoting as a cancer fighter. 2) The site claims conventional medicine is a fraud and that chemo never cures anyone (chemo and surgery has brought me into complete remission!) 3) Sites claiming studies that are nowhere to be found in the medical databases 4) Sites claiming studies that only kill cancer in vitro. Only human studies taking the product ingredients orally show how the product ingredients are absorbed and how effective they are on people. 5) Any cancer fighting product that is marketed MLM should be avoided. 6) Sites that don't provide statistics on human clinical studies citing the effectiveness of a product is most likely not tested or ineffective. (Note: make sure the studies are in the medical databases. Some products claim studies that have never been published or even performed. They are only trying to make money, so they will claim anything at the expense of poor cancer victims!). |
